BOTOX / DYSPORT
As we age our bodies produce less collagen and elastin. Moisture in the skin decreases. We begin to lose soft and sometimes hard tissue volume in the face. We get wrinkles. Exposure to the elements (sun, wind, and cold), lifestyle choices (smoking, alcohol and drug use, poor diet, and lack of sleep), and even genetic predisposition contribute to wrinkles too. We look tired and we look older. And most of us are not content with that.
Liking what you see when you look in the mirror impacts your happiness, self-confidence, overall well-being, and even competitive edge in business. Today’s dermatology offers more safe and convenient options than ever before to keep you looking great.
Dr. Peter Vitulli, Jr. and the staff at

Botox is a neurotoxic protein that relaxes muscles in the face by blocking nerve impulses. When muscles cannot contract, wrinkles soften and diminish, and further wrinkles may even be prevented.
Dysport is a similar compound, also used to reduce moderate to severe furrows, especially frown lines between the eyes.
Botox and Dysport treatments take only a few minutes and do not require an anesthetic. Shallow injections are made with a fine needle into several precise points on the face. There is minimal discomfort and you’ll see results immediately – smoother contours, not a frozen or taut look. Those results last up to six months. And wrinkles are less severe at re-treatment because your facial muscles have been trained to relax. Minor side effects such as bruising can occur, but are temporary. Other possible side effects may depend on your general health, medications, and lifestyle. We’ll discuss these with you prior to treatment.
