Liposonix

Are you struggling with those last few pounds that seem to have permanently made residence around your midsection? You exercise, eat right, and yet that stubborn muffin top just won’t go away? If you are looking to contour your waistline and get rid of that last inch, Liposonix may be right for you. Liposonix is a non-invasive and non-surgical method that allows patients to achieve their ideal figure.

The Liposonix System uses High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound to kill fat cells safely and effectively. The Liposonix treatment head is placed on the desired treatment area. The ultrasound energy penetrates the fat layers 1-2 cm below the surface of the skin, working to shed the waistline. Your body’s natural healing process will then eliminate the disrupted fat cells.

Most Liposonix treatments are generally completed in less than 2 hours. Side effects during treatment can include feelings of discomfort, cold, tingling, or warmth. There may be some slight redness in the treatment area that goes away within a few hours. Patients who experience swelling in the hours after treatment find that it will generally resolve itself within a few days. Compression garments may help reduce swelling and help make the first few days post treatment more comfortable. Mild bruising is also possible, this can take 2-3 weeks to completely clear up.

Studies show the average reduction in waist size after one treatment is about an inch or one pants size. Patients will see maximum results 12 weeks after the treatment session.

Liposonix is not recommended for patients looking to lose weight. Liposonix works to disrupt fat cells in certain areas of the body but does not eliminate fat. The Liposonix treatment is effective only for a reduction in inches, not weight.

Candidates for Liposonix are patients that are close to their ideal size and looking to lose that “last inch of fat” around their waist. In order to receive Liposonix treatment you must have a BMI of 30 or less and be in good overall health. The best way to determine if you are a candidate for Liposonix is by scheduling a consultation with Dr. Vitulli.

If you want to trim down your waist and finally fit into those skinny jeans staring at you from the closet, Liposonix may be right for you. Call today to find out.
